Large, heart-shaped leaves begin the summer a deep purple and as they mature turn to red, orange, bronze and then yellow before falling in autumn. The chameleon leaves are preceded by small, pretty, pink flowers which emerge in clusters along the bare stems and produce distinctive pods. A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.
